The Everlasting Word, Oct. 8

Vol 1, Article 17
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will
also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”  Matthew 6:14-15
In the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew Chapter 6 verse 12 it says “And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.”  Of the whole prayer this is the only verse that Jesus interpreted for His disciples.
It shows the importance of us forgiving individuals who have hurt us or caused us to suffer.  When we do not forgive it causes us to become angry and even bitter!  But even more importantly, there will be times that we need forgiveness ourselves.   Therefore we need to remember that our receiving forgiveness is based on our willingness to forgive others!!  An Everlasting Word!!!!!
