The Everlasting Word, December 31

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” Philippians 3:13

The Apostle Paul knew that he had not reached the goal to live the life he wanted to live in Christ.  Like all of us he had failures in his life.  But unlike many of us he was not going to let them keep him from going forward to reach his goal.  Paul did not have a rear view mirror, but a spyglass looking ahead.

As we begin 2018 let us follow the example of Paul to forget the things that did not go right or the mistakes we made, or situations we wish we had handled differently.  They are in our past and can not be changed.  So forget them and live in the present to such an extent that you are a joy to be around and a blessing to others!!!

An Everlasting Word!!!!!
