Say Goodbye to Barbara and Keith Cogley

After 16 years the Cogleys are leaving Tanglewood.  Their Wildflower neighbor’s and many friends hate to see them leave but understand that health issues have made it necessary.

Both Keith and Barbara grew up in Rural Valley in eastern Armstrong County of Pennsylvania.  Barbara would walk by the local drug store each day after school and Keith who worked at the soda fountain would notice her.  When she was about 16 he started to get to know her.  They have now been married almost 60 years and have 4 children (2 girls and 2 boys), 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Keith started his career as an X-Ray technician for GAF, moved to sales and then supervisor of the warehouse. Barbara worked for 20 years in the A & P Grocery store in the deli area and moved to deli manager.  They loved to travel and while staying in Zolfo Springs, Fl. they decide to do some sightseeing and came across Tanglewood.  Barbara said let’s check it out and the rest is history!

Both of the Cogleys have been very active in Tanglewood and have been involved in many of the committee including Special Meals, Special Events, the monthly Food Drives, and Breakfast.  Barbara was on the library committee for many years. They have been active members of the Tanglewood Community Church where Keith served as Chairman of the Board awhile back and they both handled the preparations for Holy Communion monthly. Barbara loves to read and they both love the outdoors. They will be moving on the 22nd to Phoenix Arizona and temporary live with their youngest son Mark.  They will be sorely missed! Thanks Barb and Keith for all you have done for Tanglewood and we wish you the best on the next stage of life.
