Four women get together in one of their homes for a monthly book club to discuss a book with wine and snacks. They read “Fifty Shades of Grey” and decide to explore their sexual sides. Their lives are turned upside down after reading the book which pushes them into a series of outrageous life choices. I saw this movie with a girlfriend and being women “of a certain age,” we could relate to most, if not all, the four female leads. The movie showed the honesty between friends that have known each other for decades. There are bumps in the road for each of the four ladies’ relationships and they collaborate and explore how they can make things work. Diane (Diane Keaton) is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage. Vivian (Jane Fonda) enjoys her men with no strings attached. Sharon (Candice Bergen) is still working through a decades-old divorce. Carol’s (Mary Steenburgen) marriage is in a slump after 35 years. Get your girlfriends together and go see the movie. My friend and I did lunch at the Mexican Restaurant near the theater before the movie, saw the movie and ended up at DQ for dessert – what a way to spend a rainy day! It is currently showing across the street at the B & B Sebring Fairmount Square Cinema 6, 3750 US Highway 27 N, 863-385-9980. “Girl’s” you have to see this and you will laugh out loud!
