“The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.” Proverbs 11:25

As I watch the evening news and read the news on the internet I am getting more and more concerned about the direction our county is going. There is very little good news concerning people. Oh there is great news about the increase in jobs and the economy, but what is concerning me is the meanness towards each other. There is not a day that goes by that there is not another attack against some individual in an elected office or an attack against some news commentator, etc. I am not talking about just one group but all groups on all sides. It is tearing our county apart. What ever happen to turning the other cheek or when someone says ugly things about you the higher road is the best road to take. You don’t return meanness for meanness, but you return kindness for meanness or just keep quite. We have lost the concept that we do not have to agree with one another, but we do need to be kind to one another allowing us to express our thoughts with out attacking each other or being mean!

The word of God teaches that the individual who is generous will be rich in mercy. The Bible also teaches that as far as it is possible to be at peace with all men and not to return evil for evil. As we approach July 4th in a month we need to remember that every one deserves respect. We must remember that we are one nation under God and that this county was founded on the principle of freedom, not the freedom to tear each other apart, but to help each other to be all we could be in a nation that is made up of all people from all nations that put their differences a side and come together as one! We have forgotten that truth. He who helps others will also be helped. Let us respect each other regardless of our personal views because everyone deserves respect and kindness!!!!
An Everlasting Word!!!!!
