"Proud to be an American!"

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither Slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus!”  Galatians 3:28

As we get ready to celebrate the 4th of July and 242 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence let us remember the foundation America was found on. The first settlers of America first came for freedom of religion, not for freedom of speech. By the way which both are under attack today! What they wanted in their Independence was the freedom to worship God without interference from the government. I hope we all realize how very blessed we are to live in a country that still, even in the midst of all ungodliness, considers itself “one nation under God!” But America is in trouble today because we have forgotten one very important principle that is part of what makes this country great!!!!

We must remember that America is one nation that is made up of many nations living together for the good of all. What is causing our problems today is that we have forgotten that: let me explain — I am an American with an Indian and Irish background. I am not an Irish American nor an Indian American — I am an American first, not Irish or Indian first. When I put my heritage first, then I divide myself from others, but when I am an American first, then I blend with others. This is a biblical truth that is stated in Galatians 3:28. The concept that we are Irish Americans, German Americans, Cuban Americans, etc is a relatively new concept which hurting America and causing us to be divided as a nation. Let us get back to our roots as Americans working together to make America once again a country where we can live together as one nation under God!!! This 4th of July celebrate the fact that you are an American no matter what your heritage may be!!!! An Everlasting Word!!!!!
