“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” ESV Psalm 150:6
The Word of God tells us repeatedly to praise God. But what does it mean to praise God. There are many meanings for the word praise. For example it means to give thanks, or confess His goodness to us, or to glorify His name, or to commend, etc. It also means to lift up His name above all else, or we should exalt Him above all else! In all of these instances, praising God is simply giving Him the recognition He deserves. We can praise God by worship, song, prayer, proclamations, studying God’s Word, and the list goes on. No matter what form you choose the main purpose of praising God is to exalt Him!!!!
Unfortunately we praise everything else in our lives. We praise members of our family, are pets, people who help us, TV shows we watch, etc. Many praise God during worship in church, but we fail to praise Him out side of church or other times during our normal weekly activities. We all have good and bad habits. Let me suggest that we develop a habit of praising God daily. Not only daily but many times during the day. Remember we should praise Him above all else!!! Therefore when you pray ask God to help you put Him first in your life and to help you by teaching you how to properly give Him the praise He deserves!!!! Make that a habit of your life. I promise you it will change your life and you will be glad!!!! A Everlasting Word!!!!!
