Thanks to All Who Competed
All good things come to an end, they say. Today the last prizes from the TWRTimes’ Summer Contests were announced and awarded.
The Hidden Icon contest drew five correct answers: Linda Wakefield, Nancy Foley, Ken Kabet, Barbara VanDick, and Heather Paine all found the four little harp icons. These names were put into a pseudo hat, and Nancy Foley came out $25 richer. Congratulations, Nancy.
The Limerick contest drew fifteen poems of varying worth. The team of incorruptible judges looked at each one (anonymously) and picked Jan DeRoller’s “BEANS” as the best. Here it is:
There once was a woman of means,
Whose chef prepared Boston Baked Beans.
She let out a hoot
When she started to toot,
Bending over in her new Levi jeans.
