Truck leaving Tanglewood October 22 taking Hurricane Michael Victims basic supplies

Tanglewood Community Church and our Community are once again teaming up and you’re invited to join us! We are currently collecting non-perishable food, items, etc. to take to our friends in Florida affected by hurricane Michael.

Lists of most needed items are as follows:  Canned food, boxed foods and meats that do not need cooking, toiletries, first aid items, Gatorade, bottled water, cleaning supplies, sanitizers, mosquito spray or wipes, underwear, socks, diapers, baby wipes, pillows, blankets, trash bags are some of the top suggested items.

Our staging area is located at 2303 Fancy Free will be open Thursday October, 18 from 11AM to 2 PM, Friday October 19 11AM to 3PM  and Saturday October 20 from 8AM to 4PM.

Any questions or to volunteer to be there to keep staging area open, please call 419-898-6906 for this week.  If you would like to donate money make the check out to Tanglewood Community Church specifying the money used for the Hurricane Michael program or if cash, place in a sealed envelope and drop off at the staging area.

Our goal is to load the truck on Sunday afternoon and leave at 5AM Monday October 22 to take it to the needed area. Everything will be off loaded there and the drivers and volunteers will return to Tanglewood. This will be about an 18 to 20 hour trip and we will need help with this as well.  Thanks to John Nelson, U-Haul is donating the largest truck needed to go one way. Additional car and 2 volunteers are needed to help unload once we are at our destination and to transport our drivers back to Tanglewood.  We hope to be able to go as close to Mexico Beach or Panama City, Florida

Thank you for your generosity and partnership!

God bless,

Pastor Bill
