Petanque Tournament

The Petanque Committee held their December Tournament on Saturday December 1st with a field of 16 teams, and 64 hopeful players. Petanque Chair Dick Hale and Tourney Coordinator Greg Plank set the wheels in motion at 9am sharp with a comfy air temp of 70F and 9mph winds out of the SE.

Congratulations to the ‘A’ Flight Winners who went undefeated all day. (l-r) Sam New, Sandy Radawiec, Dave DeLucia, and Barb Thulin.

Congrats are also in order for the ’B’ Flight Winners who lost just 1 game all day. (L-R) Orest Kalyn, Cherl Burnham, Bartley Larocque, and Bob Thulin.

Let’s not forget those hot dogs! Grill Master Neville Carr, never one to let a dog go uncooked, worked his magic providing the players the red hots during the break.

The 50/50 Winners were John Zeiger and Sam New who both took home $40.

The Petanque Committee would like to thank all who participated in the tournament, and all those who helped with the set up.

Petanque plays daily on a ‘pick up basis’ at 1:30pm.  Newcomers are always welcome.
