The very last day to buy your tickets for the Memorial Day Picnic is Monday, May 20 at 10:00.M No tickets will be sold after that time, because that’s when the food order is called in. If you absolutely can’t make it up to Coffee or to Billie’s Office before then, call Ruth Barron at 863-314-8748, and reserve your tickets You can then pick them up from her house at 517 Wilderness Circle. Tickets are only $5 apiece. Bring your own drinks and tableware.
The menu is fried chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, macaroni salad, and cake. Joyce Boivin is donating her time to entertain us with music. Thank You Joyce !
Now here’s the best part: All the food is being donated by Hometown America, Publix, and Alan Holmes, so every penny of that $5 ticket will go to the Southeastern Guide Dogs. They will use it to help provide professionally trained seeing eye dogs, therapy, and service dogs to needy Veterans. Training is extensive and expensive, but the value of a good Veteran/Dog match is incalculable.
Bring a couple extra Lincolns in your wallet, there will be a 50/50 raffle. Donations to the Southeastern Guide Dogs will also be gratefully accepted.
Happy Hour starts at 4 PM and the food will be served at 5:00. But only if you have your tickets purchased by 10:00 on Monday, May 20 !
