Reflecting on our Mother’s (Lk. 1:26 – 38)
Introduction: Certainly there is much we can say about mothers, today. There are many stories we can tell; and what I have to say will probably be something you’ve heard before. But, let me be quick to add, the story of ”mother” never gets old. So, please allow me to give you three brief and simple thoughts this morning as we reflect on our mother’s today. What wonderful and great responsibility motherhood is. And nowhere is that more evident than in the role Mary played as Jesus mother. Mary was not perfect, but she was highly favored and chosen by God to be the mother of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. (Here we see…)
Conclusion: As we have reflected on these simple thoughts this morning on this Mother’s Day,…This morning we certainly want to say thank you to and for our mothers. (I know I am very grateful to God for the mother I had). Our mom’s are not perfect, but we love them! What wonderful and great responsibility motherhood is. And nowhere is that more evident than in the role Mary played as Jesus mother. May she serve as a model for our mothers to follow and may her model remind us to love, honor, encourage and pray for our mothers (not just today), But, every day!
God bless our mothers!
