Hometown America paid for our Coffee and Donuts on June 10, and donated their “talk time” to Nu-Hope.
Nu-Hope is a long-established local organization dedicated to keeping Seniors (that’s us, folks) in their own homes as long as possible. They offer many services, including social gatherings for meals, home-delivered meals, transportation, respite care, and one-on-one friendships. They have a thrift store which helps fund these services.
Nu-Hope has just started a Tanglewood collection service on the first Friday of each month. Their truck will park in our parking lot from 10:00 to 12:00 and receive donations. If you have a piece of furniture or something too heavy to bring up, call them in advance and they will arrange to pick it up at your home after noon.
