Craft Club Beginnings

When Tammy Martin heard that Loretta DeWitt teaches craft classes elsewhere, she encouraged her to start a Craft Club in Tanglewood. Loretta had lots of support. Billy Lopez helped with logistics, and Bob LaRocque handled publicity.

Making Sea Glass Plates

The Tanglewood Craft Club is a fun group.

The club meets twice a month on Fridays from 1 to 4 pm. There’s no dues or officers. All residents are welcome to come whenever they like.

The second Friday of the month is People’s Choice. Members are encouraged to teach a craft project, or Loretta will lead one. On the fourth Friday of the month Loretta will lead a surprise project.

At their first meeting in February, Loretta taught a polymer clay class.
In March, Cindy Gilliland lead a button project.
In April Melody Szepetyk showed us how to create a sea glass plate.
