Tanglewood Art League January 2020 Artist of the Month
Laurel Adams, Photographer
“I’m not a techy photographer, but instead rely on instinct for the good shot!”
Laurel Adams is one of our newest members and we’re pleased to have her. She provided some background on her experiences in photography.
In Laurel’s words: I’ve dabbled in photography for about thirty five years. I am primarily self-taught. I took one formal course in Black & White Photography. I was always inspired by Ansel Adams (no relation!), and particularly love shooting landscapes and architectural photos.
So you’re probably wondering why I don’t have B&W photos on display. Since purchasing my current cameras, a Canon Power Shot 5X1015 and a Canon EOS, I have not had enough time to spend using manual setting and editing (I have Adobe Elements on my computer for editing purposes).
I’m not a techy photographer, but instead rely on instinct for the good shot!
My husband helped lug my cameras all over the world before we retired to Florida about two and a half years ago. Now we enjoy taking day trips to many unique places in Florida… just to take photos.
Photography is my passion!
