We recently visited Faded Bistro and Beer Garden at 420 N. Ridgewood Drive in the heart of downtown Sebring. Approaching the Bistro we were immediately taken in by the uniqueness of the ‘exterior’ of the restaurant. We were like kids at Christmas wandering along the garden path to be seated. The outdoor seating and open air dining areas are so full of charm. From the vintage bar area, an antique humidor, a game table, and a babbling water feature blended together with the amazing plant life, creates an ambiance you cannot experience anywhere in Sebring.
Faded boasts one of the largest selections of craft beer in the area, a full bar mixing up among other things, Bloody Marys at Sunday brunch. Toss in Tequila Tuesday margaritas and Wine Down Wednesday specials no matter what day it is, they will satisfy your thirst.
The food choices are too numerous to mention – from appetizers, salads, crustless quiches, flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches for lunch to Tapas, charcuterie boards, fresh seafood, Angus beef and chops for dinner, and a Sunday brunch menu all to wow you, there is something for everyone. They strive to serve fresh seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
My other half enjoyed the Faded Burger which was a grilled burger stacked with BBQ brisket, cheddar cheese, fried onion strings and BBQ sauce with fries. Always on the lookout to have a Cuban, the Havana satisfied me and I liked the twist of it being served on Naan.
All this with one tasty Mojito and an iced tea cost about $40 plus the tip for a late lunch. Included was the fresh air, warm sunshine, relaxed ‘take your time’ attitude, excellent service, and amazing ambiance left us looking forward to returning soon.
