” I remember you, The kindness of your youth, The love of your betrothal…”
Love as newlyweds, do you remember that? You just could not be separated. You had to be together all the time. I heard about a woman who was riding in a pickup truck with her husband. She said to him, “When we first got married, I sat right next to you in this truck. Now I’m sitting over here by this door.” Her husband said, “I ain’t moved.”
We know that our nation has moved from its foundations, but a nation is made up of people. So, the question we all need to ask ourselves is have we moved. It is always a good idea as Christians that we do a self-check. Have we moved from being faithful to one another, to our churches, to the commandments of God? As people move, so does a nation. I promise you God has not moved, so move back closer to Him.
