Importance of Easter
“God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord,” 1 Corinthians 1:9 ESV
Notice, the scripture did not say “you are faithful,” but that God is faithful. God made a promise that He would overcome our unfaithfulness by sending a “Messiah,” which is the Hebrew word for the Greek word “Christ.” The one who would come would restore our relationship with God! Through Him we would have forgiveness of our rebellion against God, which is the end result of all our wrong doing.
Remember, the babe at Christmas is the man at Easter, who died on a cross so that we could be forgiven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. The power of His resurrection from the dead proves He has the ability to forgive us. So, why is Easter so important? Without Easter we would be without hope, always with a broken relationship with God, who loved us so much He died for us! Lets remember the reason for Easter and join others in a church of our choice this Easter Sunday as we celebrate Easter. An Everlasting Word!!!!!
