This past week I’ve heard “3 GENS GRILL” mentioned in 3 different “circles” of my acquaintances, so I decided I needed to go check this place out.  In almost 4 years in Sebring I’ve not heard of this well hidden, out of the way gem, which is located at 3455 East Fairway Vista Drive in the Highlands Ridge golf community in Avon Park.

The name “3 GENS” stands for the 3 generations of family that own and operate the restaurant.  They take pride in serving an array of tasty homestyle foods from appetizers, lunch and dinner offerings with daily specials, along with a full bar.  They are open Sunday 8-1 for breakfast only, and Monday through Friday 11-7.  They are closed on Saturday.

My other half enjoyed a huge hamburger stacked with bacon, onion rings, lettuce, tomato, and BBQ sauce with the house made chips.  I had a cup of potato soup along with a BLT that was perfect in every way.  Service was quick and friendly, and everything arrived hot and tasty.

Prices are average in my opinion for what we are paying to eat out these days.  They have so many options so there are choices for those with smaller appetites and wallets. The decor is pleasant, wide open, and can certainly accommodate larger groups. It is recommended you call ahead to 863-201-7135 if a large group is planning to go.

You may want to make this the month you join the Welcome Committee on their dinner out night on Thursday, March 28th at 4:30 pm when they meet at 3 GENS GRILL. Seating is limited so if you’re interested in going, be sure to contact Mary Lee Cipriano or Judy Donaldson to get signed up.
