Private African Safari

Join us for the trip of a lifetime to Tanzania for a 16 day Safari!!  Come experience our search for the Big Five: lion, rhino, leopard, buffalo, or elephant. That’s exciting enough, but the big quest in the Serengeti is the Great Migration.

As one of the  great wonders of the world, the annual wildebeest migration is an extraordinary display to witness.  Rated as one of the world’s most spectacular natural events, the migration involves more than 1.5 million wildebeest and 300,000 zebras and gazelles racing from the southern grasslands of the Serengeti to the northern plains. Determined to survive stampedes, drought, lions, crocodiles and other predators, the animals chase the rains over the 2,900-kilometre circuit that sees over 250,000 wildebeest perish each year. The timing of the migration varies year to year, and it’s really a big chance that you will get to witness it but it’s well worth the effort!

Some of the adjectives you will use to describe this trip upon your arrival home will be: Phenomenal, Outstanding, Incredible and Spectacular!   You might even add Amazing!

Week One: Look in Wildflower

Visit Tarangarie National Park, noted for it’s massive herds of elephants:

Travel to Lake Manyara  famous for  its tree-climbing lions. The park’s lions tend to climb trees far more often than  lions in the Serengeti National Park or Tarangire National Park. This phenomenon has baffled scientists and seeing tree climbing lions on a game drive is an unforgettable experience.  Lake Manyara national park is among the top ranked bird destinations and depending upon the time of year hundreds of flamingos.

You might want to experience a Lake Manyara Treetop Walk here or  you might decide to take a balloon safari high over the Serengeti plains.

Visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and go to the Olduvai Museum; one of the most important paleoanthropological localities in the world; the many sites exposed by the gorge have proven invaluable in furthering understanding of early human evolution.

Visit  the Masaai village and enjoy a cultural experience visiting the Iraqw tribe and visit a coffee plantation.

Spend on day in the central Serengeti and three days in the Norther Serengeti on planned game drives.  Pray that you will be one of the fortunate “gamehunters” who get to witness the mighty Wildebeests crossing the Mara river.
