The end of our winter season is always a busy time. Plans are being finalized for the annual banquet scheduled for March 26 at Sun N Lake. Over 160 guests have already registered for the banquet where we will be recognizing tournament winners, summarizing the year and the always popular prize give-aways (hundreds of dollars in prizes and dozens of other surprises).
March 20, 32 of our more adventurous golfers will tee it up from the tips (the very back tees) and challenge themselves to bring Highland Ridge North to its knees.
March 23 we will be holding the 3 of 4 best ball tournament at Sun N Lakes.
The greatly anticipated Masters tournament will be held April 6 at Sun N Lake with the pick your pro meeting held the day before (Master’s participants gather the day before the tournament to pick a professional golfer from the slate of golfers playing in the Master’s tournament at Augusta, Georgia April 6-9. The Tanglewood golfers pair off in teams of two and combine their scores April 6 with the score of their selected pro records to determine the winner). It’s one of the more popular events of the year. Many snowbirds delay their departure north until after the Masters due to its popularity.
The Tanglewood Golf Association (TGA) wraps up their winter season in April on a high note. The season saw nearly all events filled from October to April, over 200 Tanglewood residents joined the TGA in January. Memberships run from January 1 until December 31.
