ANNUAL GOLF CART CHRISTMAS PARADE & PARTY
THURSDAY – DECEMBER 14, 2023 – 6:00 pm

Want to be in the parade? Terrific!! Decorate your golf cart in holiday style! Whether you want to be crazy
and creative…easy and simple…or nothing at all….feel free to ‘show off’ however you wish.…but do join us for
totally crazy fun. This is also the perfect time to show off your ugly Christmas sweater!!
HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW!

IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE PARADE:

 MAKE SURE YOUR CARTS ARE FULLY CHARGED!!
 Drive them to the clubhouse on Thursday, December 14, between 5:15-5:45 pm.
 There will be ONE parade this year.
 Bring flashlights, noisemakers, and your jovial holiday spirit!
 Enter via the Parkway entrance – other entrances will be blocked!
 Drive your cart to the Santa Station (at the cut-out area near the putting green).
 Drop off your (optional) WRAPPED White Elephant gift to Santa and receive a WHITE TICKET.
*  Do not put your name on the package.
*  GIVE A GIFT – GET A GIFT: ONE PER PERSON
*  If you don’t want to participate in the White Elephant, you will not receive a white ticket
or be eligible for the gift exchange at the party.  It’s totally optional.

 Each adult in a ‘parade’ golf cart will receive a RED TICKET at the Santa station to be eligible
for door prize drawings at the party.
 Important: Parade people do not need to participate in the White Elephant gift exchange in
order to receive a red door prize ticket. However, this is the ONLY place to get a red ticket!!
 Next, proceed to the parade lineup in front of clubhouse.
 If you want to parade with friends, you can line up behind each other.
 This is party time: take pictures, enjoy camaraderie, and marvel at all the decorated carts.
 PARADE DEPARTS AT 6:00 PM from front of clubhouse: BEGINS IN WILDFLOWER —
then PROCEEDS COUNTERCLOCKWISE around the park – returning to the clubhouse.

MAP OF PARADE ROUTE WILL BE DISPLAYED AT THE CREDENZA AREA FOR ALL TO SEE
Every effort is made to include as many of the streets as possible that missed being on the
parade route last year. However, due to logistical considerations, and depending on the amount of
carts participating, it is not feasible for the parade to drive through every street in the development.

PARADE RULES ARE SIMPLE

NO PASSING! NO RACING! NO SPEEDING! STAY ON COURSE!

– in other words –

KEEP UP WITH THE PROCESSION AND THE CART IN FRONT OF YOU TO AVOID BREAKS IN THE LINE                               AND UNNECESSARY CONFUSION

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE ONLY – BUT NOT IN THE PARADE:
– Bring your gift with you when you come to the party at the clubhouse.
– Stop at the entrance table to exchange your gift for a white ticket (one per person).
– P l e a s e  be considerate to not interfere with the departure of the parade procession (5:45–6:15 pm).

IF YOU ONLY WANT TO WATCH THE PARADE:
– Golf carts depart from clubhouse at 6:00 pm.
– PARADE ROUTE BEGINS IN WILDFLOWER … then PROCEEDS COUNTERCLOCKWISE around the park.

PARTY IN CLUBHOUSE FOLLOWING THE PARADE:
ALL Tanglewood residents are invited to come to the clubhouse for fun-n-games, the wild gift
exchange, entertainment, holiday frivolity, refreshments (courtesy of HTA), or just to watch the action.
This annual event is always a great time and a great opportunity to meet other residents and make
new friends.
