It is December and the Tanglewood Art League is happy to present Karla Respress who has visited our community several times to present simple art programs. Karla holds a Master’s Degree in Art Education and is currently the Professor of Art and Art History at South Florida State College. This year she will present something a bit different. She will be lecturing on “The Greatest Art Heists in History”.
We will explore Art History from a unique perspective! You will take a closer look at artworks that have been stolen (but not always recovered) throughout history. For instance, did you know that Picasso was once a suspect in the theft of the Mona Lisa? This program is free to the community. You do not have to sign-up in the Tanglewood Art Book. It is our gift to you.
The program will be taking place in the Community Room on Monday, December 16th promptly at 2:00 pm. Karla is a delightful person. She will take us all for a ride through history. Do come along!
