If you were not in attendance for The Rolling Stones Ultimate Tribute Band,
you missed not only a great evening of outstanding music, but also the yummy food prepared by TW’s famous Kitchen Committee.
Sure, not everyone is a fan of rock and roll, that is to be expected. And if you
were newlyweds, raising a family, or working to survive in the early 60s, you
just did not have time to keep up with the music world. Or maybe you were
one of the warriors off fighting a war in a place most of us had never heard
knew existed. Listening to some crazy group called The Rolling Stones
was not on your list for survival. It is understandable how they did not get
on your radar.
Sunday night’s show put this group back in action, along with the eight
members of the Stones, and brought back lots of memories of carefree times for
those who were young and carefree in the 60s.
For others, the evening may have opened a whole new era of music and an
understanding of why this group was so exciting back in the day.
The “Stones” performance was pretty much nonstop – one hit after
another – as the musicians and vocalists pranced around the stage
performing many of their best hits such as:
Let’s Spend the Night Together
Honky Tonk Woman
Get Off of my Cloud
Under My Thumb
She’s a Rainbow
Child of Mine
This Could be the Last time
Wild Horses
Paint it Black
(Can’t Get No) Satisfaction
The backup musicians were outstanding and just as interesting too. The
energy they gave off, and sounds were perfect and fun to watch…as were
the percussion. In all, eight performers made for a fun night in the
clubhouse.
