Golf Cart Batteries

Published on

Our extreme temperature swings can play havoc on lead-acid golf cart batteries. Both the summer heat and the winter cold can adversely effect the batteries. These batteries are not as strong as your car batteries so in order to ensure that they will function properly, here’s a few “Helpful Hints” for those new and some more seasoned residents.
Check the water level in Every cell in Every battery at least every 2 weeks, more often if you notice the level low. You can purchase a battery water filling container at Walmart or any automotive store or you can just fill them carefully from a container. Remember to use only distilled water. This simple preventive maintenance will not only keep your cart running well but will also help to extend your batteries life. Signs of weak golf cart batteries are; Cart running slower than it previously did and/or longer charging time.
And don’t forget to check the tire pressure.
Remember, AAA cannot help you with your golf cart.
