Notification from: Tanglewood
It has been another cold week here in Tanglewood! I sure am looking forward to the warmer weather returning soon.
Committees and Volunteers
I had the opportunity last week to attend a few different events in the evenings! The Tech Committee fund raiser was so much fun, and raised some much needed funds for the tech committee equipment. There was lot of dancing, laughing and great camaraderie. Sunday evening I attended the “Heartland Rock – Bob Seger/John Mellencamp” show, and if you missed that you missed quite the show! Remember, these events are put on by all volunteers – and our volunteers are the heartbeat of the community keeping so many fun things going on all the time. If you are new to our Tanglewood family, we encourage you to get involved and volunteer on some of the great committees we have here. A personal heartfelt thank you to the many volunteers it takes to make these amazing events happen! TMAC had their elections this week, and I can bet the committees are looking for volunteers! I am excited to build a great relationship with the new and returning TMAC committees!
Trash/Dumping
Disposing of golf cart tires or other large trash items at the maintenance shop or any common area in the community is strictly prohibited and a violation of the rules. Residents must contact Waste Connections at 863-655-0005 for a special pick-up for tires and other bulk items.
Upcoming Events
Join us in the Bash on January 28th from 1 -3 PM for some fun Karaoke with Surfer Rick – the beverages will be flowing for your enjoyment as well! (If our weather is still cold, we will move this into the clubhouse)
On January 29th we have 2 amazing food trucks coming for your dining pleasure! The first one will be Mama’s Kitchen from 12-3 and for those that aren’t home from work yet (or those that choose to dine later) we have Good for the Soul from 4-7 – both will be in front of the clubhouse. Stay tuned for February’s Food Truck events!
Resident Appreciation Month
March is right around the corner!! We are super excited about our plans to celebrate YOU this year!! We will kick it off with a golf tournament on March 9th – this will be a reverse shot gun start and you MUST sign up with AnneMarie in the Activities office. We may have heard around the neighborhood that our residents enjoy the sound of California Toe Jam – well we have invited them back to kick off the final week of our festivities. They will be performing in the clubhouse on March 25th from 6-9 PM. Then brace yourselves for a great outdoor event with the Boho Cowboy in the BASH on March 26th – where you will witness the county’s biggest, bougiest , most amazingly delicious charcuterie board for your dining pleasure!! Yes, change is in the air – and it’s going to be fantastic!
Upcoming Public Sale of Home
On January 28th at 10 am we will be having a public sale of the home located at 2913 Whistle stop. Any interested parties should arrive no earlier than 9:45 am. You will NOT be able to enter the home, only view it from the exterior. The home is to be sold with ALL contents contained within. You must be able to provide the winning bid in full by 3 PM on that same day in the form of certified funds, and complete a full application for residency.
Until next time, as always, be kind and love one another!
