The Jesus Way: Building a Life of Christlike Relationships (Part 5)
The Humble King and His Kingdom Ethic
Matthew 21:1–11; Philippians 2:1–11
Introduction: We love a good parade for a hero. But on the first Palm Sunday: Jesus of Nazareth approaches Jerusalem, not in a golden chariot or on a warhorse, but on a borrowed donkey. Jesus enters Jerusalem in humility, showing that His kingdom is built not on power, pride, or status—but on self-giving love.
Showing us humility as the Jesus way — The kingdom of Jesus grows through humble hearts, not demanding spirits.
We follow Christ’s example by choosing humility over entitlement. Offer encouragement or service to someone who cannot repay you.

The Jesus Way: Building a Life of Christlike Relationships (Part 4) The Spirit‑Filled Relational Life – Galatians 5:13–26
Introduction: The Holy Spirit empowers believers to reject selfishness and walk in love, patience, peace, and self‑control—a relational transformation. Transformation is Spirit driven— it is not something we can manufacture or fake it until we make it. Spiritual transformation and maturity show up in how we treat others.
Today we’re in Galatians 5:13–26, and this passage is straight talk about relational life in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Paul says real transformation doesn’t come from trying harder in the flesh. It only comes from walking in the Spirit.

Healing Relationships Through Grace
Colossians 3:12–17 (NKJV)
Introduction If you are in a relationship for very long some relationships eventually need repair; God gives us the grace to do it. Grace, not grievance, must shape how believers relate to each other.
“There is the clothing we wear and the ‘clothing’ we live in.”
In Colossians 3: Paul emphasizes “In Christ, you have a new spiritual wardrobe… change what you’re wearing.” He call us to make four commitments to put it on.

The Church Where Everyone Belongs
Romans 12:9–21
Introduction: The church and Christian community flourishes when believers practice genuine love, honor, patience, and forgiveness toward one another. In this rich passage the Apostle Paul gives rapid-fire exhortations or commitments describing what Christlike community looks like.
MacArthur calls it: “a comprehensive and mandatory list of traits that characterize the spirit-filled life.”

A New Command for a New Community
(John 13:1–17, 34–35)
Introduction: Jesus gives His followers a new command—to love one another with the same sacrificial, servant-hearted love He demonstrated.
Christlike love is the non-negotiable mark of true discipleship.
This forces us to evaluate our attitude toward others. Consider where you can practice sacrificial love, humble service, or forgiveness this week.
