As we all know, there are many adults and children in Highands county with food insecurities. Are we in Tanglewood making a difference? Yes!  We help out with the regular monthly food drives that benefit Helping Hands and the Faith Lutheran food pantry and also twice a year for the Heart Like His Kids Backpack drive.  Our Spring drive for the kids takes place Wednesday  (March 25) here in Tanglewood. Last fall you stepped up to help them stock their pantry for the start of the school year. Let’s do it again! Help them finish the school year strong with a full pantry to meet the needs of the 150 kids each week that have food insecurities.
Please have your food out on Wednesday, March 25 by 8:30 am. If you haven’t time to go shopping, monetary donations are also accepted. Please contact Paula Novak at 219-365-3364 with any questions.

The foods that they need are

o Single serve Small Cereals

o Single serve Fruits Cups

o Single serve Snacks like granola bars and cheese crackers

o Single serve Juice Boxes

o Single serve pop-top cans of Tuna, SpaghettiOs, Beef a Roni, Beef Stew, etc. (Most needed)
