Tanglewood Master Activities Committee. AKA (TMAC). It is made up of 24 committees that are run strictly by resident volunteers. Some committees are active all year long and others are seasonal, meaning they don’t actively play, usually during the summer. But, they all meet to ‘play’ at different times and in various locations. As Secretary of TMAC, I have asked each committee to tell me what their committee does for fun, where they do it and when. Here is one example of a very busy/ active committee with players in nearly every building!
The members in this particular committee do some serious playing around. Sometimes they meet in the Suites, other nights it’s in the community room. One night they were in the Activity Center…late. Some bring money, others bring food, still others carry dice or cards. Marbles have been used occasionally and sometimes tiles or chips. It appears this group meets nearly every night, in various locations, and play about every game imaginable. One thing they do have in common is…a Table.
Here is part of the TABLE GAMES COMMITTEE SCHEDULE… and this is just one of the 24 Committees available and ready to meet new competition! Pick your game, pick your night and bring some snacks to share and BYOB, cause…we’re all adults here, and still like to play kid games but with a smidge of adult humor thrown in.
Barb Boxer is Chair, Laurel Adams- Vice Chair, Machelle Richman is the Secretary/Treasurer. Rumor has it they just purchased a brand new box of Dominos, the ones with the numbers, not the dots! Anyone can come to play at the locations listed. The games usually start right away so come ‘Tanglewood Early’. ( that’s about 15-30 minutes earlier).
