DIVERSIONS NEW QUIZ GAME IS COMING!
TODAY’S CATEGORY REVEAL – BOOKS AND LITERATURE! – Each question has the title of a book – you need to know who wrote it. As an added twist – all of the books used in this game can be obtained through the Tanglewood Library.
On October 8th Diversions is sponsoring a new game! The Tangled Quiz Game is kind of like a Spelling Bee for general knowledge. This is not another trivia contest, and everyone plays on their own (no teams). No answer sheets, no points to keep track of, just a test of general knowledge and a chance for some bragging rights.
Players will be assigned an order by random draw. When it is your turn, YOU pick the category of question you want to answer. There will be 25 categories to choose from, and 10 questions available in each category. The deeper down the question list you go in each category, the harder the question will be. Some questions are fill-in the blank types, some are multiple choice. If you get it right, you stay in the game. If you are wrong, you are out. We keep going until there are only 2 people left, just like a Spelling Bee!
It is $1 to play, and whoever wins the game gets all the entry fees collected!
Each day between now and October 8th, we will reveal another category of questions.
So save the evening of Thursday, October 8th for a fun game! Clubhouse doors open at 6 pm. The game will start after everyone is checked in (probably by 6:15). And since this is a Diversions activity, you know there will be a frozen treat at the end of the game. Sign-up on the credenza in the Clubhouse is encouraged so Diversions can be sure to have enough ice cream.
