Kathi Flyte and the Tanglewood Community Church’s Health Ministry put together the annual Health Fair today. Dozens of different organizations sent their representatives to inform us and refill our stash of ball point pens and Tootsie Midgies.
You could get information about hearing aids, Meals on Wheels, Alzheimer’s syndrome, and eye care. There were numerous home health companies and assisted living centers represented, along with Senior Law, funeral homes, physical therapy, chiropractic, and both local hospitals.
The day was marred a little by a dozen or so no-shows, leaving empty tables in the clubhouse. Kathi Flyte took care of the emcee work and handing out the door prizes. Greg Plank was there to set up the tables and take them down again. And Pam Batey worked her magic on the Big Screens.
We thank everyone who participated in this event, and hope you all found the resources you need now, or will in the future.
