TMAC’s Annual Committee Membership Drive will be here before Santa can check you off the naughty list. There are two ways to sign up with your committee of interest. The fastest way is to do it online right here! The traditional way is to look for the BIG RED BOOK which will be located on the Credenza inside the Clubhouse. When does all this coordinated chaos begin?

Ends at noon on Wednesday, Jan 15, 2025.
You have 31 days to sign up for the committees of your choice. If dues are required, they must be paid before January 20th in order to vote for officers in that committee.
Voting for Committee Officers will take place after Morning Coffee, inside the Clubhouse at 10:00 am on Monday, Jan.20, 2025. Your name must appear on the Committee’s Sign Up List in order to vote for your Committee’s Chairman, Vice Chair, Secretary/Treasurer. Either the Chairman or Vice Chair must be a full-time resident. If a committee does not collect dues their Secretary can also be Treasurer.
TRUTH: Currently there are around seven Chairman who do not plan to run again as an officer of their committee. So come to the TMAC meeting on Wednesday, December 18th at three PM inside the Clubhouse. Find out what committees are looking for new blood. Who knows, your type could be just what they need to shake it up a little.
DARE: To the newer residents, those who have lived here less than a year, remember what attracted you to live here. It was probably all the amenities available. There are 24 TMAC related committees and over a dozen independent groups available to schedule events. You can sit it out and watch, or you can dance. That takes some commitment. We have residents who have been here since Tanglewood opened in 1998. Many were 65 years old then. I guarantee, they didn’t just sit it out and watch everyone else have all the fun. They helped develop TMAC! (Tanglewood Master Activities Committee).
Double Dare: Most everyone here will tell you they’ve made more friends while living here then they ever had ‘back home’. And so can you. You can be as busy as you want or sit on the sidelines watching the world go by. I challenge you to join a committee or two or three. If you don’t know what they have to offer, look further in this newsletter under TMAC News and you will find a detailed list of committees and what they offer. Or you could –double dog dare you…just ask someone older than you, how many committees they’ve joined and how it made a difference since living here in paradise. Be prepared to take a seat, and BYOB…
