The Tanglewood Clubhouse has many uses. Every Sunday morning from 9:30 – 10:30, it becomes Tanglewood Community Church with Pastor: Dr Bill Burnham, preaching straight from God’s Holy Word…. the Bible.
The Tech Crew arrives at 7am to set up for the Praise Team. They arrive around 8:15 to practice one last time for the morning’s praise songs. The Hospitality Crew arrives around 8am to set up in the kitchen with hot coffee/ hot water for tea, and a plethora of sweets to munch on before services from 8:15 – 9:15.Β Today, they also served a ‘Wedding Brunch” made up of several home made breakfast casseroles in attempt to keep members from leaving so soon to eat breakfast. Why? I’m glad you asked.
On Sunday, July 12th, a wedding ceremony was scheduled immediately after church service.Β Diane Franklin and Ed Breau were united in holy matrimony.
The TMAC Decorating Committee provided a beautiful ‘arch’ for the couple to stand inside while repeating their vows. Ed’s son, flew in from Maine as Best Man. Diane’s Maid of Honor was unable to attend so Tech Crew, Pam Batey was asked to fill in. There were 40+ church members who stayed to witness the event.
After the vows and rings were exchanged, the couple was escorted to the reception table where they shared the traditional wedding cake and toasted with blueberry punch in ‘borrowed, blue Champaign glasses. After everyone had cake and a few photos were taken, the happy couple left the ‘clubhouse/church building and headed to Venice for a short honeymoon. Diane (Franklin) Breau is the church ‘signer for the deaf’ and had previously taught line dancing here in the clubhouse.Β She and Ed now live in Bayside.Β
