It might be hard to believe, but there are numerous residents of this fine park WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN TO OUR LIBRARY !
It can’t be because they don’t know that it exists, or where it is – it’s right there in the Clubhouse. There are signs on the inside door and the outside door to the Library. We know the Welcome Committee tells everyone that we have a Library (and where it is).
It can’t be because they think because they don’t have a Library Card they can’t check out books – you don’t need a card at all. Our Library operates on the Honor System. Find a couple of books you like, take them home and read them, and bring them back. And you don’t have to reshelve them – the well trained Library Staff does that. Just leave them on the wheeled shelves just inside both doors.
And it can’t be because you’re thinking all we have is “old people books”. Heck no. We have a shelves of Biography, History, and our popular Large Print books. Westerns! You want Westerns, pardner? We got ’em, right inside the door are dozens upon dozens of Westerns.
The hours the Library is open are the same as the Clubhouse hours, or roughly 6 AM – 9 PM, give or take a few minutes. So come on in, take your time and look at what we have to offer you. There’s truly something for everyone.
