Lou was introduced to organized walking while stationed at the Spangdahlem Air Base in West Germany. It was 1973. He said, “I saw hundreds of people walking and wondered what was going on.”
Under the expert guidance of Betty Bjore, the craft group learned how to make artificial flowers. Although the procedure seemed easy, actually making the flowers took many clever and nimble fingers.
Soon after coming here in 2003, Marilyn was asked to be TMAC treasurer. “I’ll give it a try,” she said. As a retired math teacher, Marilyn was well suited to tackle the task.
