Perhaps you’ve heard that Bernadette Hank spent weeks and weeks in Tampa Hospital where she miraculously received a bilateral lung transplant. She NOW has the lungs of a 30 year old! That is the GOOD news!!
She is home and is doing really well. She can walk around her house without worrying about tripping over the oxygen hose. And she can walk around and attend activities without carrying around an oxygen bag. You might see her building up her strength by walking around her block. More good news.
The troublesome news is……………can you IMAGINE the medical bills……….over and above the insurance coverage?? Can you IMAGINE the bills for the multitude of prescriptions??
It takes a village……..and the village of Tanglewood is in the process of creating a spectacular benefit to help out with the over and above expenses.
YOU can help in several different ways. You can attend the BENEFIT for BERNADETTE & JIM HANK on NOV. 2 in the clubhouse from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm where you will enjoy the music provided by the Tanglewood Garage Band. Tickets are $10 pp.
You can help by buying a 50/50 raffle ticket AND/OR YOU might want to buy a ticket for one of the MANY raffle prizes that will be available! You will be able to buy a hamburger or hot dog, a bag of chips and a dessert for $5.00.
Gift and gift cards for the “gift” raffle are currently being collected and will be listed here as we collect more. It’s a work in progress!! We can tell you that there will be gift certificates for gasoline AND for groceries as well as other gifts!! The ONE gift certificate we have (so far) for gas is BIG!!! You’ll definitely want to buy a chance on this! We will announce the amount soon. Watch for it here!!
Perhaps you cannot attend the benefit but would like to help out………….you can still help out by making a donation (big or small) that will go into to the gift certificate fund. We will take this money and pool it together to buy MORE gift certificates for gasoline and groceries.
