The Tanglewood Master Activities Committee, (TMAC) held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. All officers were present and they had a quorum even though there were around six committee chairs vacant.
President Gary Braun revisited the same issues from the September meeting ; Compensation, Removal of a committee member, and Conflict of interest, reminding them an advisory committee had been appointed for the summer to review and then offer possible solutions to the areas of concern. He read the results from the advisory Committee. The current board members were instructed to consider those options. At the November meeting there would be discussion and possibly a vote taken to resolve them.
President Gary spoke about a new committee that had formed here in Tanglewood called ‘Neighbors Helping Neighbors’. Gail Homoly gave a detailed report on the history behind the creation of the (501C-3) committee.
There was a reminder that, according to the Bylaws, December 15th would begin the process for joining/ rejoining committees for the following year. More discussion would be at the November meeting. Committee members read their monthly reports aloud and actually used the microphone while doing so. Thank you.
The opportunity for the audience to speak came last. Yours truly gave a report thanking the committees who participated with the Hurricane Response team for their voluntary participation. No other discussion ensued. The meeting was adjourned.
