May Pot Luck

Are you hungry right now?  No?  I bet you’ll be hungry by May 14 though.  That’s the date of the next Pot Luck dinner.  Since it’s the season to honor Mothers that’s the theme of May’s dinner.  You’re invited to make your Mom’s favorite dish, or one you remember fondly.  And if Mom wasn’t much of a cook, just bring your own specialty!  You can’t go wrong with Deviled Eggs.

The Committee would like to keep Pot Lucks going all summer, but we need some help.  First of all, we need people to sign up to come.  The sheet is in the Pot Luck binder on the credenza, just indicate how many are in your party and what you’ll be bringing (Main Dish, Side Dish, or Dessert – you don’t have to be any more specific than that.)  Walk-ins are fine, but we’ve used 35 sign ups as the cut off number for whether we’re going to hold the meal or not.  We need a count so we know how many tables to set up.

Secondly, we can use some help preparing the room.  That means moving 3 tables (with help), setting out place mats, salt & peppers, and glasses for water.  Not that hard.  Then there’s a little bit of cleanup afterwards.  If you can help us for one month (or more), contact Jeff Nauman at jeff.nauman@gmail.com or Shirley Kabet at shirleykabet788@gmail.com or leave a note on the sign-up page.  With your phone number, please.

If you’ve never been to a Tanglewood Pot Luck, all you need to know is to bring a dish that can serve about 12 people, a serving utensil for your contribution, your own plates and utensils, and something to drink if you don’t want water.  There’s no charge – you’re eating free!  We do sell 50/50’s to offset our expenses.  Bring your dish between 5:00 and 5:20, we start calling tables at 5:30.  Everyone is fed in 15 minutes.

Come and support this TMAC Committee.  We’re here for you, come in and come hungry.
